Biography

Vanya is a vocalist and musician from Surat and aspires to emerge as a successful artist. She strives to make her songs a way of making people more aware of the world, of their feelings, of their emotions and all in all, about themselves to make this world a kinder and better place.

Vanya has been passionate about music from the time she was a little girl and used to hum and sing songs all the time. She had never thought of making a career in music, but she felt she could go for one when she started uploading one-minute covers on Instagram. The posts went on to become quite popular, surprising many people, including her. She also started posting her songs on the StarMaker app. One of the posts went viral and she gained 20,000 followers almost overnight.

Vanya also participated in the Saregama Gujarat online competition twice and won. During the lockdown, she started making unique mashups of English and Hindi songs, which the audience just loved and craved for more.

Sensing her potential, her parents encouraged her to take singing more seriously. She also started taking part in the monthly signing competitions organized by Surat’s famous music group Pancham Group. She secured top three positions in more than 25 successive competitions, a testimony to her talent for singing.

Vanya has also had the opportunity of performing at many stage shows, including one which noted actor and MP Hema Malini attended virtually and The Vistosa Festival in Surat in 2021. She also performed at the police outreach program for senior citizens and the ONGC officers club function.

Vanya had planned to pursue a career in law, but dropped the idea and ended up choosing music for further studies in her determined quest to make a career in music, something she is most passionate about.
