Biography

Vanya is a vocalist and musician from Surat and aspires to emerge as a successful artist. She strives to make her songs a way of making people more aware of the world, of their feelings, of their emotions and all in all, about themselves to make this world a kinder and better place.

Vanya Bhatt is an Indian vocalist, performer, and music educator whose work bridges Western classical music with the rich musical traditions of India. She is currently pursuing an M.A. in Global Music at the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki, Finland, where she collaborates with artists from around the world and explores music as a medium for cultural dialogue.

A graduate of Christ University, Bengaluru, with a Bachelor's degree in Western Classical Music, Psychology, and English Literature, Vanya has built a versatile artistic practice spanning opera, musical theatre, Indian devotional music, folk, Sufi, and contemporary fusion.

Her performance credits include the lead role of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, choir performances of Mozart's Requiem, university opera productions, solo recitals, and numerous live concerts. She has also released original projects that celebrate the meeting of Eastern and Western musical traditions, including a Haveli Sangeet album and an Indo–Western fusion single.

As an educator, Vanya has mentored singers of all ages through workshops, private coaching, and ensemble training, with a focus on vocal technique, artistic expression, and confident performance.

Driven by curiosity and a deep respect for musical heritage, Vanya continues to create performances and collaborations that connect cultures, preserve tradition, and inspire new artistic conversations.
